Ma'am Toledo says...

That the ES and IS things can be submitted on Monday, because that's when the exhibit is. Hooray.

HOWEVER- I'm not sure about the ES. So yeah... Made you relieved and worry and not care.

RICK ROLL TIMEEE.

Our first YMSAT, yay.

Random and most probably incomplete list of reminders.

Consent forms for STARGAZING and SOCSCI INTRAMUROS TRIP. The latter was due on Friday, I think.

Flite kying! :D The revised schedule was on the IS board earlier :V I just gathered that the elims is Tuesday, finals is Thursday. I have no idea. Let's ask on Monday na lang. And I asked Sir Llaguno and he says to bring the kites on Tuesday.

Exhibits. Setup at the IS room, and there are corresponding tables for each kinda project. Except for the MTVs, pass them at the Physics unit. Even incomplete projects are supposed to be resting quietly in the IS room now; Ma'am Toledo said we could still put finishing touches by Monday.

Bring your copy of the YMSAT sked. For every activity, we have to make the overseeing teacher sign. On that note, bring a pen. I have no idea what else to bring.

Everyone who's attending the ES hands-on: bring a 1.5 PET bottle. I assume you know what that is -_- And for those in Bio and Chem (citation needed), bring a lab gown.

Have fun c:

01.22.10

What were you expecting, a rickroll or something? /:) That is why they made status bars you know.

YMSAT
- your exhibit thing. In case you still don't know, it's the terrarium/music video/gadget/poster or basically anything that can show your talents and your knowledge of science. (I am so vague. We really must give Olin posting access. -_-)
- our lovely kites.
- your consent forms for stargazing, dudes.

For tomorrow
- it's PTC slash card giving (:O). Your parents don't have to come if you have no failing grades (below 2.50) or issues with the DO.
- In the afternoon (1-3 PM ata) we will have the dry run for our kite-flying, most probably in the field (sa'n pa ba?). Yay.
- James's group's kite not only flies. It WALKS. How awesome is that???

Socsci
* YOUR CONSENT FORMS. D: No permit, no sama. Monday ata ang deadline for reply slips.
- the individual articles. Summarize it in a 'speech' fit for less that 2 minutes. To be presented in front of the class after YMSAT.
- our election song lyrics are due on Feb 5. Remember your groupmates?

Dear gravity, you held me down in this starless city~

Regarding the Play :)

Hi guys. As director, I'll be in charge of holding try-outs and assigning understudies for the actors. And other stuff like that.

If you guys want to schedule a try-out then just contact me. You can look for me in the front lob/front lob stone benches/in line at the caf/classroom/library during free periods.
Now about some of you that still want to play parts but were beat by better actors :)) (kidding), you can try-out for understudy.
An understudy is basically like a reserve, or a back-up. Just in case so-or-so is sick or absent.
I'm available during the first half of the fourth period, and during other free periods (unless I say so). You can also schedule for after classes (except Friday, because the VM has a meeting).
Schedule a try-out ASAP, if you want, okay? The scheduling of the try-outs are until Friday. Try-outs can be scheduled until next week, Wednesday.

First homework list of the year. Yay.

It looks long, but it's mainly just reminders. Don't worry. Don't be scared of the more tag. It's unused so I wanted to try~

Garnet music :D

Garnet Music Group (3 and 4)
Members: James Espiritu, Marianne Cadiz, Dave Llorin, Bianca Publico, Stephen Sugay, Monchai Leyretana, Issa Garcia, Gene Gansit

Just want you guys to submit songs you want for Music. Submit a maximum 5 songs, then we'll try to agree on a song based on how easy it is to play on guitar, if a recorder can play it, how long it is, and how fast it is... And other things.

Monchai already suggested "Jump Then Fall" by Taylor Swift.
PROS:
  1. The guitar chords are easy (according to Bianca).

  2. We believe it is within the range of a recorder.

  3. We can... There are probably more pros but I can't think of any :D

CONS
  1. It's kinda long (around 4 minutes) and upbeat-- kawawa naman yung na-assign sa recorder

  2. The strumming is hard. (according to Bianca).

  3. Too high for us to sing some parts.

  4. Some of the boys might not agree kasi it's kind of a girly song :) Not saying that Taylor Swift is only for girls, but you get my point

I suggested "Hallelujah" covered by Bon Jovi.
PROS:
  1. It's slow enough to play easily with recorder, and it's within the range of the recorder.

  2. It's okay on guitar.

  3. It's low enough for us to sing.

  4. It's a unisex song:))

CONS:
  1. It's kind of long (but we can cut some parts out)

  2. Puro bar yung guitar.

Conversation with the little white lies~

FINAL EDIT: Okay I erased everything from before. >_> Imma leave this entry here to let everyone who didn't see the original post know that I did make an original post. :3 The pictures have also been deleted from my Photobucket.

ALL HANDS ON DECK!

ATTENTION GARNET GIMP GROUP!
You better contact me, Bianca, or Alyssa or I will fry your sorry butts and serve them with a sinco. The GIMP presentation is not finished, and currently, I am only aware of two other group mates so contact me. Or else. Tevakh.

There are extra parts, and seven missing people. In the event that I do not receive notice from these people, I will reassign the research to the ones who did contact me/Bianca/Alyssa/myself.
ASSIGNMENTS:
1.) Where can I get the GIMP?
2.) What does it generally look like?
3-6.) What are some of the formats you can save images in (example: GIF, JPEG)? EXPLAIN BRIEFLY WHAT THOSE FORMATS MEAN. There are plenty of formats. I'm thinking of either 5-10 formats for each of you.

When you contact me, tell me which assignment you want. It's first come, first serve so you better get a-crackin'. EVERYTHING IS DUE ON JANUARY 2 at 12 IN THE FREAKING AFTERNOON. E-MAIL TO ME (you can check my facebook for my e-mail, ask someone, or check your YM. I am not releasing my freaking e-mail address to the world).

What the hell are you waiting for? ;)
/marianne

postscript
If you do not hand in your sources, you're completely and utterly tevakh.

EDIT: Only Pia has contacted me. And I really need to get it done. So...
There are 4 of us and 6 extra assignments.
-_- I already gave Bianca #1 and 'What is GIMP?', and #4
So I'm gonna tackle what it generally looks like because I believe I'm the only one who can get the screenshots I'll take #2, but since that's not much, I'm going to take #3 as well.
Alyssa and Pia, you got #5-#6.
I'm posting a list of image formats the GIMP can handle so that we won't get mixed up. Check back at 5 or so.
